A man from Wigan has been charged with terrorism offences and has been remanded to appear before The Old Bailey on April 8 2020..
Twenty one year old Liam Fenn of Harrow Place, Wigan, has been charged with nine offences relating to the possession of a document or record likely to be useful to a person preparing, or committing, an act of terrorism and three charges relating to the encouragement of acts of terrorism.
Fenn was remanded in custody and taken to Manchester Magistrates Court to appear via video link at Westminster Magistrates Court on Thursday 26 March 2019.
The charges follow officers from Counter Terrorism Policing North West searching a property on Harrow Place on Tuesday.
