Manchester United’s Manager Erik ten Hag has said that his first meeting with Sir Jim Radcliffe and Ineos representatives Sir Dave Brailsford and John-Claude Blanc, was a positive one

“Very positive. We had a long meeting, many hours we sat together. On many issues we are on the same page. They have good ideas. It was very constructive. We have to see what we can integrate.” he told the press conference ahead of the team’s FA Cup tie with Wigan

We have to let it settle down,” said Ten Hag. “They are just coming in and introducing themselves. They have good ideas, so we have to see what we can integrate. We will work together but you can’t tell that after one day. We have had our debates about strategies and I think we will come together.”

It is understood that INEOS told staff that they will take over United’s football operation

The deal with Radcliffe which was confirmed on Xmas Eve is yet to be ratified by the Premier League and could take up to 6-8 weeks
