Two people are in hospital with serious injuries after a car smash on Albion Way, Salford last night when a vehicle collided with the barrier, whilst taking the exit off the M602.

A male and female – aged 23 and 21 – were taken to hospital, where they remain with serious injuries.

No arrests have been made, and enquiries are ongoing.

Constable Neil Pennington from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Greater Manchester Police said: “We are appealing to anyone with information and/or dash cam footage to speak with police as we work to piece together how this incident unfolded.”

“Both individuals remain in hospital with serious injuries, and any information could prove invaluable.”
