Two men have been arrested following two separate reports of break-ins in Stockport last night as police continue to crackdown on burglaries in the area.

Police were called to a report of a burglary at a school in Heaton Mersey and found and a male, aged 30, was seen exiting the school carrying multiple items.

He was arrested on suspicion of burglary and has now been charged and remanded to court.

His vehicle was found with a substantial amount of stolen property inside.

Several hours later officers received a call regarding a burglary on Wellington Road South in Heavily.
