Two men aged 28 and 42 have been arrested after Police in Bury stopped a vehicle and found a sizeable amount of cash and drugs.

This included £10,000 in cash and two kilograms of suspected cocaine, worth a street value of £200,000.

Sergeant James Donnelly of the Op Revoke Team in Bury, said: “Our continued investigation into the alleged large scale drugs supply operating in Bury is yielding more good results to keep our communities safe.

“By working closely with our partners, our no nonsense enforcement strategy allows us to act quickly on intelligence we received from members of the community.

“Op Revoke is still a relatively new unit in Bury, which acts proactively on community concerns by carrying out disruption activities, such as interrupting drug supply, as we have done in this case again so members of our town can be proud to live and work it in.”

In its first month, the operation has seen 24 people arrested, a street value of over £300,000 in Class A and Class B drugs taken off the streets, as well as seizing approximately £80,000 in cash.
