Take part in the Brilliant Breakfast – a fundraising event designed to celebrate inspirational females and provide support to those young women who need our help most.

The event was launched last year to raise money for The Princes’ Trust Women Supporting Women initiative and is a great opportunity to gather for breakfast while raising cash for a great cause.

The Brilliant Breakfast is being held at UA92 on Wednesday 13 October from 9.30am – 11.30am and is co-hosted by Trafford Council along with UA92 and Trafford College. Speakers on the day include Kate Green MP.

Cllr Jane Slater, Trafford Council’s Executive Member for Health, Wellbeing and Equalities, said:

“The Brilliant Breakfast is quite simply a fantastic initiative aimed at supporting and helping vulnerable young women who have been hard hit by the Covid pandemic. As the Council’s Executive Member for Health, Wellbeing and Equalities, I believe equality is vital in our society and we need real levelling up – no young women should be left behind.

Trafford Council is totally committed to providing targeted support to children and young people and improving health and wellbeing for residents across the borough. The Brilliant Breakfast will help do just that.”

Isobelle Panton, UA92 Head of Student Recruitment and Admissions said:

“Vulnerable young women facing issues like domestic abuse, homelessness and long-term unemployment have been among the hardest hit by the pandemic meaning they need more support than ever before.

No donation is too big or too small and the funds raised will provide practical and financial support which can be life-changing, helping these women rebuild lost confidence and stabilise their lives, develop self-esteem and, often most importantly, skills for work.

At UA92 we like to live by the mantra that ‘empowered women, empower women’ and this Prince’s Trust event epitomises how much we can be doing to support young people in their pursuit of work, training or education.”

James Scott, Principal and Chief Executive of Trafford College said;

“Alongside the Council, our college community partners and UA92, Trafford College is proud to support The Princes Trust and The Brilliant Breakfast.

As an inclusive college whose purpose is to unlock the potential and foster the success of our learners and the community, we are delighted that over 70 of our young, female students will have the opportunity to meet some of the borough’s most inspirational women, role models and leaders. In turn, we hope that they will be able to share this experience with their friends and family to inspire and support more and more women to achieve their goals and ambitions.”
