The family of a man who died in a city centre hotel room has paid tribute to him.

29-year-old man Thomas Noakes from Eccles was found dead in his hotel room at the Britannia Hotel in the City Centre on Wednesday morning after police investigated the death of a second man,21-year-old Hayden Fitzpatrick who had fallen from a hotel window

There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

Detectives launched a murder investigation into Thomas’ death and enquiries are ongoing.

Paying tribute to him, Thomas’ family said: “Thomas was a fantastic, amazing, loveable man who made us all laugh and was always the life and soul of the party.

“He was a much loved son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.

“It is with great difficulty that his friends and family have to say goodbye to someone who touched so many lives, and was loved by everyone he met.

“He will be missed so much but never forgotten for the fun, loving and caring person that he was.”
