The family of a man who died following a fatal collision near Knutsford have paid tribute to him.
The 85-year-old pedestrian Douglas Burke was pronounced dead at the scene after being hit by a number of vehicles on A50 in High Legh, near to the junction of Swineyard Lane last week
His family said:
“On Monday 20th November Douglas Burke tragically passed away after being involved in a road traffic accident in Cheshire.
“Douglas was enjoying his retirement, travelling around the UK and Europe when not playing golf or meeting with friends.
“He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandad, and we are all heartbroken by his loss.
“He will be missed by many people around the world.”
