The Botanist restaurant alderley edge

Originally opening its doors back in October 2012, the venue quickly became a favourite haunt of local celebrities including Wayne and Colleen Rooney, Freddie Flintoff and a string of footballers and their partners.

The bar-and-restaurant concept, famed for its botanical interiors adorned with tropical plants and foliage, quirky cocktails, signature hanging kebabs, and live music, has since grown to 24 sites up and down the country over the past ten years, including sites in Chester, Deansgate, Media City, Knutsford and Warrington.

The brand’s trademark hanging kebabs are a cult favourite amongst regulars – it sells over 650,000 every year across its venues, with three kebabs being served to hungry diners every minute.

James Singleton, General Manager at The Botanist Alderley Edge said: “The Botanist has cemented itself as an institution in Alderley Edge over the years, offerings residents a laid-back and atmospheric place to relax and unwind over home-cooked comfort food after a busy day at work or party the night away with friends over expertly crafted cocktails on a Saturday night.

“No matter what you come here for, you’re always greeted with a warm welcome and we can’t wait to celebrate ten years of good times with our guests throughout the course of the week – we have plenty of surprises up our sleeves!”

One of the longest standing venues in the village, the site almost doubled in size since after its initial opening, with the upstairs ‘Rose Rooms’ offering an additional space for dining, private parties and watching live sports.
