ART B&B is a brand new, one-of-a-kind small hotel, offering a staycation experience that exceeds expectations of Britain’s favourite northern holiday destination.

Located in the heart of Blackpool on the famous sea front, the hotel is looking ahead to the forthcoming season with a special staycation offer for UK residents celebrating the end of lockdown.

A classic Victorian seafront hotel, ART B&B has been beautifully and completely renovated with each room designed by a specially commissioned artist, to tell its own story. Rooms range from seafront suites to a family room – each one offering a comfortable, luxurious  night’s sleep within a bespoke art installation of its own.

This undiscovered gem is the perfect destination for art lovers, or those who want to enjoy the nostalgia of a traditional seaside town with a contemporary twist. After an eternity of lockdown, the pristine, luxury rooms and proximity to long beaches, fresh air and Blackpool’s attractions combine all the fun of the fair with a vital focus on wellbeing.

Blackpool and the surrounding Fylde Coast are the perfect escape for people who have been craving the great outdoors. Blackpool has a super long, surprisingly peaceful seafront, with 7 miles of wide, award-winning beaches from end to end.

The location of ART B&B, near the North Pier, provides restorative sea-views and soul-warming sunsets, whilst the room amenities include rainfall showers, seriously comfy beds, free superfast broadband and coffee from Alberto, the ART B&B 1973 Italian coffee machine, located in the ART Café and Cocktail Bar.

Whilst ART B&B is a destination stay offering high quality rooms, a stylish café bar and a live performance art space, this business also has a distinct, social purpose at heart.

As a Community Interest Company, ART B&B aims to reinvest profits into the local community to bring art and creativity to its neighbourhoods.  So holidaymakers who choose ART B&B for their Blackpool visit will be supporting the arts whilst they sleep.

ART B&B was set to open in early 2020, but was forced to close due to the COVID-19 pandemic and has availability this season. It is offering a June staycation package for its spacious Ocean Suites, where guests can stay three nights and get the fourth night free, priced at £129 per room per night.

The Ocean Suites, ‘Willy Little’ and ‘Now You See It, Now You Don’t’, include panoramic windows providing stunning sea views and sunsets overlooking the beach.  Encompassing original art throughout, they house a unique sleep-in installation, a king-size bed, a deluxe en-suite bathroom and separate lounges with a cocktail bar and a projector with drop-down movie screen.

The ‘Now You See it, Now You Don’t’ suite was created by artist and writer Professor Tim Etchells. His intimate-scale, gallery quality neon sculpture playfully evokes the mystery and delight of another era’s popular entertainment.

The ‘Willy Little’ suite by artist Mel Brimfield celebrates the career of fictional entertainer Willy Little and his performances at ‘The Ocean Hotel’ – the original name of ART B&B.  The suite is adorned with performance posters, showbiz signage and whole walls of text that evoke the spirit of theatrical seaside entertainers (real and imagined).

The June suite staycation package is available to book now by calling ART B&B on 01253 708061. Priced at £129 per night for a three night stay with the fourth night free.

ART B&B is a fully operational small boutique hotel and venue that is also a community business.
