Dozens of Stop Oil protesters have marched through the centre of Manchester this morning
They are demanding that the Government immediately halts all new oil and gas licences.
The protesters disrupted traffic as they marched along Regent Road and claimed that police were threatening to arrest them
In a statement they said that the British Government is trying to take away our basic human right to protest by criminalising legal marches such as this.
“Seems that there’s no limit to how low they’ll stoop to protect their fossil fuel interests.”
