Property agents from across Greater Manchester eager to see Stockport’s successful new industrial park for themselves, came together this morning as it was announced that Aurora Stockport is already three quarters let ahead of its completion.

As completion in December draws closer, there has been a flurry of lettings at the Council led development with Baumüller and Aeroco both signing up to make the new industrial park their home, with a further large announcement to be made soon.

Leading electro-mechanical engineers, Baumüller, has announced that they will be moving into two units totalling 19,159 sq ft at the new industrial park. After winning a number of contracts Baumüller has been searching for a new home with good transport links for their growing UK team and they found the perfect location at Aurora Stockport. Their fit out is already underway and Baumüller plan to move into their new units early in the New Year.

In the past few days, a deal on another two units has also been completed with Aeroco. The aircraft maintenance specialists will be taking 20,000 sq ft of space at Aurora Stockport in addition to their facility at Manchester Airport.

From its prime position alongside junction 1 of the M60, the modern 146,000 sq ft industrial park gives companies the opportunity to run their businesses from high spec premises in one of the best connected locations in the North West.

Hosted by Stockport Council and scheme agents CBRE, the successful event gave agents the opportunity to see Aurora Stockport and hear how its development is part of a £1 billion investment programme currently underway across Stockport.

Councillor Kate Butler, Cabinet Member for Economy and Regeneration at Stockport Council said: “The transformation that has taken place at Aurora Stockport is astounding. The specification of the units and the connectivity these offer to businesses is impressive and the new industrial park will provide the ideal environment from which companies can grow and succeed. Aurora Stockport has a very bright future.”

Steve Capper of sole Letting Agents CBRE commented, “The success of Aurora Stockport has highlighted the continued strength of occupational demand within Stockport which is why together with the location and high quality of the scheme I fully expect it to be fully occupied in the near future.”
