Young people in Salford are being given the opportunity to work with some of the UK’s most exciting theatre professionals on a brand new outdoor celebration at Buile Hill Park Hall, titled ‘An Unpredictable Future’.

It is the finale to five weeks of Stage Directions arts activities for young people and families in Salford this summer; including three Weekend Carnival Camps at Walk The Plank’s Salford base, Cobden Works, performance taster sessions in Ordsall, Walkden and Eccles, and technical theatre skills workshops.

The young participants will be working alongside five professional companies in a two week creative camp to design, produce and perform in the live outdoor experience: artists, activists, academics and party instigators, Girl Gang; musical theatre writers, Leo & Hyde; gig theatre producers, Wildcard Theatre; puppet creators, VIP Puppets; and Salford’s award-winning outdoor arts experts, Walk The Plank.

On Friday 3 September the camp will culminate in an outdoor celebration of young people, their families and the city at Buile Hill Park. This event is free and will encompass elements from all of the artists involved plus live music, movement and lots more! Audience attendance is ticketed, visit unpredictablefuture.eventbrite.co.uk to book.
