An exclusive fundraising evening held at Spinningfields Conference Centre, a contemporary events space owned by global coaching and development organisation In Touch, saw businesses from across the region come together to raise more than £1,200 for The Christie Charity.

The event, organised in partnership with the Manchester PA Network, saw over 100 guests enjoy a fun-filled evening of fashion, food and cocktails.

Entertainment on the night included a fashion show, featuring contributions from Hobbs and Phase 8, mini pamper sessions from Molton Brown, games from The Crystal Maze, as well as a raffle with prizes supplied by Manchester City Football Club and The Alchemist among others.

All money raised during the evening is being donated to Manchester-based cancer care charity, The Christie, one of the largest cancer treatment centres of its type in Europe, treating more than 44,000 patients a year. The specialist centre provides enhanced services to patients and their families, over and above what the NHS funds.

Jennifer Axford, Corporate Events Manager at Spinningfields Conference Centre said: “The event was a great way to raise awareness and, most importantly, vital funds for a cause that impacts so many people.

“Thanks to all the generous donations from a range of businesses, we were able to raise a fantastic amount of money for The Christie Charity, which will go towards patient care and research.

“We’re so thankful for the support and donations we received, The Alchemist provided a selection of quirky cocktails for guests and the delicious selection of canapes were sourced from local providers such as Gusto, Impact Catering, Chaophraya and Carluccio’s.”

The Christie Charity is one of the largest hospital charities in the UK, it is known for many world-firsts that have impacted on cancer treatment across the globe. The money donated through fundraising activities will provide care and treatment to patients and their families, as well as helping to fund research and education.
