Sixteen people have been arrested in Manchester City Centre following protesters by the now banned Palestinian Action Group
The protesters who were by the Mahatma Gandhi statute on Deansgate were arrested for supporting a proscribed organisation contrary to Section 12 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
The orotest in Manchester was one of a number around the country demonstrating in opposition to Home Secretary Yvette Cooper’s decision to ban Palestine Action under anti-terror laws.
