The UK's undisputed leader in outdoor fitness, British Military Fitness (BMF) has joined forces with The Royal British Legion to host a 5km fun-run in Manchester, this November.

The Poppy Run offers a brand new opportunity for every one of all ages, to get up, get out and do their bit – whether you run, jog or walk the distance!

For the first time ever, on Sunday 6 th November 2016, Heaton Park, will see hundreds of eager fun-runners raring to go at the start line for the exciting outdoor 5km Poppy Run, to raise money for the Legion. Supported by British Military Fitness, who is providing free fitness sessions to support participants in preparation for the occasion, the brand new family-friendly event will provide the opportunity for people to come together and raise vital funds for the Legion.

It’s a charity so close to our hearts as a brand, and also to our 400+ instructors across the country who are ex or serving military, many of whom have been supported in the past by the charity. The Poppy Run is a really great way for the whole family, of all ages and fitness levels, to get together to raise awareness and funds for what is such an incredibly important charity for all of us at BMF.”

Claire Rowcliffe, Director of Fundraising at The Royal British Legion said: We are delighted to be working with British Military Fitness and the Poppy Run. We’re grateful to all those fundraising for the Legion and this will help members of the Armed Forces community, from Serving personnel, veterans and their families live on to a more hopeful future.”

Entrants will be encouraged to set up their own JustGiving.com pages to raise funds in the run up to the event, and there will also be an opportunity to make donations at the time of entry. An event t-shirt and a medal will be rewarded to all those who cross the finish line.
