Three houses were shot at overnight in in two separate streets.

The first incident took place around 3.30 in the morning on Polefield Road  Police attended and evidence of shots being fired at two houses on the street was discovered.

Later in the morning, at around 7.10am police were called to Victoria Street, Radcliffe to reports that another house had been shot at.

Police are investigating both incidents and believe they may be linked.

Detective Inspector Andy Naismith from GMP’s Bury division said: “Thankfully no one was injured in these two incidents, but both were incidents of guns being used on suburban streets, and aimed at people’s homes, places where they should feel most safe.

“We are very keen to hear from anyone who might have any information about either of these incidents, or may have any idea who was involved.

“There will be extra officers patrolling the area in the coming days, I would ask anyone with any concerns to go over and have a chat with them.

“Guns are absolutely not welcome on the streets of Greater Manchester, and we will do all that we can to find those responsible so their reckless behaviour can no longer put us all in danger.”
