Manchester’s vibrant new neighbourhood in the thriving First Street district, is set to welcome an exciting culinary addition this October, Seoul and Tokyo.
The first-of-its-kind venue in the UK will combine authentic Japanese dining with a specialist deli, creating an immersive experience where guests can eat, shop, and explore the best of Japanese cuisine all in one place.
Guests can sit in and enjoy original Japanese delicacies, including customisable hot pots – rich flavourful broths filled with a variety of meats, seafood, noodles, and vegetables. For those on the move, Seoul and Tokyo also features a fresh meat counter and
deli offering grab-and-go lunches, daily sushi boxes, and Asian street-style dishes such as grilled Japanese sausage, steamed pork or chicken buns, and Japanese oden.
The deli also stocks a curated selection of premium ingredients and daily essentials, salmon fillets, natto, tofu, fresh cheese, and seasonal vegetables, alongside specialty drinks, including Korean cocktails, for customers to take home.
With around 60 covers, the Square Gardens site will be Seoul and Tokyo’s first UK location to combine the hot pot-plus-deli model, building on the success of its existing restaurants in Manchester and Birmingham.
Square Gardens by Downing Living is Manchester’s newest lifestyle destination. It offers residents a hassle-free, all-inclusive living experience with rent covering all utilities, alongside luxury amenities including a gym, reformer Pilates studio, social lounges,
co-working spaces, and the largest private outdoor gardens and terraces in the city centre.
Shelley Meng at Seoul and Tokyo, said:
“Square Gardens is the perfect home for us, it’s modern, vibrant, and community-focused. We know people here will value high-quality, fresh food at a fair price, and our goal is to bring the best of Japanese dining and produce right to their doorstep.”
