Police and staff have ensured that Matthew Moss High School in Rochdale is safe and all staff and children are returning to the building.
In a statement police said they received reports of a threat being made towards a school on Matthew Moss Lane, Rochdale.
Officers have conducted a search of the school and found no threat to the school or wider area.
The school were earlier evacuated following s threatening message received by email.
In a message to parents the school said
“Matthew Moss High School have received a threatening communication and have evacuated the school as a precaution. All learners and staff are safe and the police are in attendance.
Please do not travel to the school at this time to allow police and staff to manage the situation.”
