The leader of the Rochdale Grooming gang Shabir Ahmed has been moved from a bail hostel after his location was posted online by user who dubbed the grooming gang leader as an’agent of Satan’
His address was revealed as being in Accrington at approved accommodation staffed 24 hours a day.
GMP Whistle Blower Maggie Oliver said
“Placing Shabir Ahmed who raped countless children over many years in the doorstep of Rochdale/Oldham is just incompetence, neglect and clearly totally ignores the fear expressed by his victims of bumping into him”
The 73-year-old has been transferred to an alternative location by the Ministry of Justice.
A Ministry of Justice spokeswoman said: “Public protection is our top priority. This offender is subject to the toughest supervision possible and he will be on the sex offenders register for life.
“He is also banned from contacting his victims, or any child or young person, and has his movements tracked.”
Ahmed cannot return to his former home address in Oldham and is also excluded from parts of Rochdale.
