Back in April, we mentioned that Residence Inn by Marriott, part of Marriott Bonvoy ® ’s extraordinary portfolio of 30 brands planned to open its latest UK aparthotel in the heart of Manchester City Centre.

Now the brand’s fifth Residence Inn property in the UK, is officially open and it’s their first in Northern England, with the other four located in London and Scotland.

Residence Inn by Marriott Manchester Piccadilly offers a prime central location for those travelling into the city for work or play, or residents of Manchester looking for escapism to the city. Situated on Laystall Street, less than ten minutes’ walk from Manchester Piccadilly, but also ideally located next door to the bustling areas of Ancoats and the Northern Quarter.

The 155-guestroom hotel consists of sleek and spacious studios and 1-bedroom suites to suit solo visitors, corporates, couples, families or friends staying for business or leisure. The hotel is also pet friendly, meaning that your furry family members can come along too.

Modern design sweeps through both the individual apartments and communal areas, with the use of warm, neutral tones, that strike the perfect balance between being at home and away. 25 of the studios and suites offer baths and over half offer sofa beds in the living space, designed for little travellers, or groups enjoying time away together.

Every room comes with a fully functional kitchen, featuring a microwave, single oven, two-ring hobs, a refrigerator and a dishwasher, with all the cookware you could need to create a home cooked meal, giving guests the opportunity to explore some of Manchester’s independent food & wine shops.

All rooms come with Smart-TVs so you don’t miss your favourite shows. Self-service communal laundry facilities are available on site and open at all times. Those staying on the higher floors can also expect stunning skyline views across central Manchester.

The longer-stay hotel offers enticing lounge areas and a coffee shop with a grab-and-go counter for those whose visits match the fast-paced energy of the city. Start your day with a delicious complimentary breakfast, or use the hotel’s bespoke grocery delivery service, keeping your room fully stocked with fresh goods to prepare your own favourite dishes.

Meeting spaces can be transformed to suit diverse needs, as well as an outdoor seating area for those that like to dine, drink, or work al fresco. Those looking to keep up with their workout routines while on the road can enjoy the Fitness Centre, open 24/7, featuring high-spec cardio, resistance and free weight areas.

The area in which Residence Inn is situated has undergone significant development over the last few years and is now home to many large corporate offices, as well as popular, primarily independent, dining, drinking and cultural establishments. Explore galleries, boutiques, concert venues, all within just a few minutes, before coming back to Residence Inn to rest in style.

Additionally, the hotel will be home to two retailers on the ground floor, which will be independently accessible from the hotel. The retail units are available to let now and will look to service the needs and wants of those in the area.
