Nigel Farage’s Reform Party has overtaken the Conservatives in the polls for the first time

A Yougov survey for The Times finds that Reform has increased support by two points to 19% with the Tories on 18%.

The poll was carried out after Rishi Sunak launched the Tory manifesto on Tuesday

The poll puts Labour still well ahead in 37% with the Lib Dems in 4th place on 14%

The poll also suggested that Sunak’s decision to leave D-Day commemorations early had badly damaged the prime minister’s standing.

56% described it as a “serious error” that reflected badly on Sunak’s character

As the poll was released Reform leader Nigel Farage said “We are now the real opposition to Labour.”
