Detective Inspector Michelle Buchanan of GMP’s City of Manchester North district said: “We are appealing again to the public for any information regarding this incident, if you know who these males are and if you are protecting their identities, now is the time to tell our officers.

“That evening, innocent members of the public, including children, were in the property that these two reckless individuals targeted. There was no consideration for the public and a clear intention to hurt whoever they wanted to target. This incident could have turned fatal and injured innocent members of the public and we are determined to locate those involved and bring them to justice.

“Witnesses saw two males approach the property, one male pulled out a black handgun and fired two shots at the address, one causing damage inside the property. After shooting the rounds, the males made off down a ginnel towards Cheetham Hill road, one on foot and one on a pedal bike.

“Six months on and our enquiries are continuing at pace. Our officers are determined to find these dangerous individuals who have no regard for their behaviour or public safety.

“Uniformed officers will be out in the community today speaking to members of the public including visiting local businesses, to see if anyone has any further information to help generate new lines of enquiry. If you have any CCTV, doorbell footage or saw two males acting suspiciously that night, please come forward as you’re information may be vital to our investigations.

“If you have any information at all, you can report by calling GMP on 0161 856 1146 or 101 quoting 3319 of 23/07/2023. You can also report information via www.gmp.police.uk or through the independent charity Crimestoppers – anonymously – on 0800 555 111.”
