The Greater Manchester Police Museum is looking to the future this week by launching a new online store.

It goes live tomorrow, Thursday 17 July, and visitors to the attraction’s website will be able to buy books on Victorian crime or the history of policing, along with quirky objects such as Bobby combs and Hello Kitty police officers.

Although these items can already be bought at the museum, it is hoped that selling them online will attract more sales.

Duncan Broady, GMP Museum Curator, said: “By branching out online we are hoping to make the shop more accessible to a wider audience. Up until now, people have had to physically come to the museum to purchase items, but now they can do it from the comfort of their own homes. I would encourage people to visit the store, as it’s very user-friendly and our prices are good value.”
