Police have confirmed that they are investigation a shooting in Oldham on Sunday night

Police say that they were called to Belmont St at around 11.15pm after a man was reported to have been shot at by three men wearing balaclavas.

The men are thought to have been involved in an earlier incident shortly before on Radcliffe Street where threats have been made with a firearm.

No arrests have been made and an investigation led by Oldham CID is underway.

“We had a cordon in place where the incident is believed to have occurred for much of the day on Tuesday, and we thank the local community for their co-operation and patience so far.

At this stage investigators have been able to confirm at least three shots were fired on Belmont Street.”
