Tameside Council has submitted a planning application to build a new 171‑space multi‑storey car park on Waterloo Road in Stalybridge.
This is an important step in improving the town centre and supporting future growth.
The car park plans follow an earlier application for a new pedestrian footbridge, which will make it easier and safer for people to move across the River Tame and reach different parts of the town.
Designed by TODD Architects, the new building will replace the existing surface car park. It has been created to fit in well with the nearby buildings and the character of Stalybridge
