Plans for a new multi-storey car park have been approved for Stalybridge in what has been hailed as an important step in supporting the town’s regeneration and future growth.
This investment will say the council see an investment in town centre parking spaces as further developments progress and Support local shops, cafés and businesses
The development will
Include EV charging points and accessible parking,Improve walking routes and access into the town and Provide secure cycle parking
Funded from the £20m Government Capital Regeneration monies specifically allocated for the town, Work is expected to begin in 2027 following detailed design.
