The pedestrian, a man in his 40s suffered serious facial injuries and remains receiving treatment in hospital after being hit by a car in Swinton on Saturday night.
The man was red Kia Ceed was travelling on Bolton Road towards Billy Lane around 11pm
The man driving the Kia remained at the scene and spoke with police and no arrests have been made.
