Adam Clarke, Macropay’s CEO and Founder shared his expert take on overcoming hardships. With knowledge from his years of experience, the seasoned entrepreneur gave his tips when it comes to facing difficult challenges.

While Adam Clarke’s tips could be applied to running a business, the advice he shared could also be the answer to some of life’s hardships. The founder noted that hardships will always exist whether people like it or not. This is why it’s very important to learn about successful people’s experiences and apply the knowledge in your own journey.

From finding the courage within to being life’s student, here are some ways to overcome hardships straight from Macropay’s Adam Clarke.

Having the courage to go the other way

It’s easy to just follow the path taken by many — going to school, getting a degree, and getting a job. However, while there’s nothing wrong with following this path, having the courage to carve your own way, and finding what works for you can sometimes lead to amazing things.

Similar to many founders and prominent businessmen, Clarke did not complete his studies. He recognized that traditional learning methods are unable to meet his needs as he grew up with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). “Both in business and in life, you have to be self-aware. Being brave enough to pursue other methods and letting go of what doesn’t work is a key component to overcoming hardships,” said Clarke.

Building what you want in life

Clarke started his vision earlier than most. At the young age of 13, the Macropay founder was able to determine that getting into sales would help him create the life that he wants. This is why when he turned 16, he joined the sales workforce and eventually bested the adults in the company in terms of performance.

Further, he emphasised that it’s easier to be disciplined and motivated when you are actually working toward a goal that you chose. “There’s nothing more difficult than being forced to do something that you’re not passionate about,” said Clarke.

Being willing to learn and adapt to changes

Adam Clarke started Macropay in 2013. By being aware of new developments in technology, the CEO was able to lead the company to become one of the top alternative payment gateways. Clarke said that “willingness to learn is important because it opens your mind and enables you to find new opportunities.” He further explained that markets change all the time, and those who are able to adapt will succeed. The ability to adapt, however, is only possible with the right knowledge. Always seeking to learn something new pays off in the long run.

Clarke also shared his firm belief that the tech revolution is just in its early stages. Furthermore, he shares that Macropay is set to expand and present exciting payments technology.
