Yee-Haw! It’s time to saddle up and mosey on over to Heywood Theatre for one glorious night of Country Music. There’ll be a sea of stetsons, boots and spurs when ‘One Night In Texas’, the UK’s biggest live Country and Western music show rides into Heywood on Friday 18 November.
With a live band, three award-winning singers and an atmospheric stage set, this show has been making waves since it came on the scene at the end of the pandemic, wowing audiences and receiving outstanding reviews everywhere it has played.
From the producers of the acclaimed touring show ‘One Night in Dublin’, audiences are guaranteed a two-hour extravaganza of the very best in country music, packed with hand-clapping, foot-stomping, boot-scootin’, singalong classics from the likes of Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, Shania Twain, Garth Brooks, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Tammy
Wynette and the Eagles.
Vocals are firmly taken care of by Middi Murphy, a seasoned veteran of the UK county music scene who twilights as a cattle farmer, making him a cowboy by default. One Night in Texas is also lucky to feature Deeanne Dexeter, the darling of the country music festival circuit and the irrepressibly sassy Biddy Ronelle whose band ‘Biddy and the Bullets’ recently took a single to Number 5 on the UK Country Charts.
The band includes the BBC award winning fiddle player Sophy Ball, former Jimmy Nail drummer Trevor Brewis, Ex-Prelude pianist Tony Davis and Banjo player Tim Howard of the
legendary Muldoon Brothers and the line-up also features two guitarists, a bass, a pedal steel guitar, mandolin and at selected larger venues a brass section!
So, if you need a little bit of classic country in your life then why not dust off those line dancing shoes, grab your pardners and come on y’all for what promises to be a fantastic night out, ‘Texas style’.
