It’s FA Cup action this weekend for many of our teams. The weather has dictated that a lot of teams pitches are not playable.

Oldham Athletic enter the third round following a win over Bradford last time out. A tie against third-placed Championship side Bournemouth awaits after a change of ground venue. Oldham are not going to well in the league recently with one win in their last five matches. They face a Cherries side that has not conceded a goal in six of their last seven matches and have only lost once in their last five. It will be a tough game for Harry Kewell’s men and they will be looking to continue their giant-killing ways in the cup.

Stockport County are our other FA Cup representatives, they face Premier League side West Ham United in the last of the ties on Monday night on BT Sports. This is going to be a tough match for Jim Gannon’s men, as they will be facing a well-drilled and organised Hammers side under David Moyes. The lack of crowd will play a huge part in the match and that twelfth man will be sorely missed in a match like this.

In league action Rochdale host Crewe Alexandra. Crewe have only won once at the host’s ground in their last ten visits. With Rochdale on a seven-game winless streak at home and Crewe unbeaten in six league games, Brain Barry-Murphy will have his work cut out to get the win.

In the National League, it’s Altrincham vs Sutton United, in a match that will be a tough one for both sides. Sutton hasn’t conceded a lot and Altrincham have been picking up points recently as they are both pushing for play-off places. A draw seems a likely result.
