New facilities dedicated to supporting families with children who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) have been unveiled in Rochdale.
This comes as part of a significant £115,000 upgrade to Norden Family Hub which reflects the council’s ongoing efforts to create safer, more supportive and accessible space for local families.
Featured improvements, funded by the Department for Education’s capital funding for Family Hubs, include a brand-new sensory room equipped with a ceiling hoist to ensure full accessibility for local residents.
A new large multi-purpose room featuring an interactive projector and a second ceiling hoist have also been installed to cater a variety of inclusive activities and needs.
State-of-the-art changing facilities have been fitted in the bathroom too, to provide even more comfort and convenience for all visitors, while families can also enjoy a variety of interactive elements as part of a dedicated outdoor area.
