The Manchester office of national law firm Clarke Willmott LLP has been boosted by the arrival of a new Insolvency Team, comprising Chris Keane, Partner, Rachael Bentley, Senior Associate and Keir Merrick, Paralegal.

Chris advises banks and other financiers, insolvency practitioners and insolvency professionals and directors as well as creditors. Chris’ particular proficiency relates to contentious insolvency, advising in relation to appointment, complex antecedent transactions and procedural applications. Chris’ specific focus is on substantial and highly technical claims brought by insolvency practitioners, often involving fraud and complex multi-jurisdictional recovery options.

Rachael acts for insolvency practitioners, financial institutions, creditors, companies, directors and other stakeholders in relation to pre-pack and trading administrations, restructuring options, LPA receiverships, security documentation, validity of appointment, CVA’s, liquidations and court administration applications. Keir Merrick, paralegal, joined the team at end of July.

Chris said: “It is fantastic to be part of Clarke Willmott’s growing Manchester team. Clarke Willmott’s national insolvency offering has an outstanding reputation and we are very excited to further develop the practice in Manchester and the North West.”

The arrival of Chris, Rachael and Keir adds to Manchester’s ever growing offering.  Roy Crozier, head of the Manchester office said “We are really pleased to welcome Chris, Rachael and Keir. They have a wealth of experience and are a valuable addition to our experienced team in the North West and nationally”
