Manchester United and Northern Ireland goalkeeper Harry Gregg has passed away at the age of 87.
Gregg survived the Munich air disaster in 1858 after joining United the year before for a transfer fee of just above £20,000, at the time making him the most expensive goalkeeper.
The Northern Irishman pulled colleagues, including Sir Bobby Charlton, Jackie Dennis Violett and his manager Sir Matt Busby, from the wreckage of the plane in Munich.
Gregg passed away peacefully in hospital.
"Harry’s contribution to the United story can never be underestimated."
Rest in peace, Harry Gregg ❤️
