NHS Nightingale Hospital North West is a key facility in the region’s response to Covid-19. Located at Manchester Central the new hospital is part of the huge NHS mobilisation plan to deal with the growing number of Covid-19 cases.

The hospital has up to 750 beds for patients. It will provide care for those who no longer need to be in a critical care environment. It will also link closely to community health and social care services, as well as the hospitals across the North West region.

All staff will receive a full induction that has been created specifically for NHS Nightingale Hospital North West.

It will be a highly challenging working environment, and it won’t be suitable for everyone. They will support you to draw on your resilience and that of your colleagues too.

They are currently accepting expressions of interest for the following staff groups:

  • Doctors (Tier 1, 2 and 3)
  • Advanced Nurse Practitioner
  • Registered General Nurses
  • Healthcare Support Workers
  • Physiotherapists
  • Occupational Therapists
  • Ward Clerks & other administration roles
  • Social Workers

As part of taking on any of the above roles, training will be provided, as well as hotel accommodation (subject to criteria, e.g. to mitigate the need for work travel and to protect vulnerable groups), parking, and meal provision as appropriate. You will also be provided with uniforms and ID.

They will be looking to expand the range of healthcare professionals we are recruiting for this centre in the near future.

If you live in one of these regions, and can commit to working at this hospital for at least 4 weeks, they would love to hear from you:

  • Cheshire
  • Greater Manchester
  • Lancashire
  • Merseyside
  • South Cumbria
