Award-winning chef and food writer Mary-Ellen McTague, sustainable food pioneer Vincent Walsh and the Fazenda restaurant group founder Tomas Maunier are just three of the participants in a special edition of Central Library’s ‘Inspiring Entrepreneurs’ programme of talks.

The free event, on Wednesday 16 September (6 – 8pm), will also feature David Fox from the restaurant group Tampopo and Carla Tomlinson, from MediaCityUK-based catering empire Penelope’s Kitchen.

Over two hours, the audience will hear a wide range of stories from the panellists, who will offer key insights about what it takes to make it in the highly competitive and demanding food and drink industry.

Attendees will also be able to ask the experts for advice, hints and tips about their own business idea during a Q&A session at the end.

The aim of the event, held in partnership with Manchester Food & Drink Festival, is to encourage and inspire people to think about launching or expanding their own food-based business.

The event will also be streamed live online at www.manchester.gov.uk/recipeforsuccess, for those who can’t attend in person.
Tickets are free but limited. To register, visit http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/recipe-for-success-tickets-17692353305.
