Close behind the release of her new EP ‘Lifetime of Wanting’ rising West-Midlands artist Nieve Ella, today, announces her debut headline tour, for February 2024. Kicking off on February 8th at London’s Omeara, the tour will make stops in Manchester and Glasgow before wrapping up with a hometown finale at Birmingham’s O2 Institute 3.

The tour announcement comes in the wake of Nieve Ella’s single ‘Car Park’ making its way onto BBC Radio 1’s c-list, following heavy championing from breakfast host Greg James, who recently named it his ‘Tune of The Week.’

Winning fans with her potent indie pop confessionals melded to the ambiance of 90’s guitar-pop Ella has charted an impressive rise to notoriety since the release of her debut single ‘Girlfriend’ last year. With sincerity as her superpower, Ella’s exploration of relatable teenage themes and earnest inward lyricism continues to place her as one of the next generations storytellers.

Ella’s new 5-tracker ‘Lifetime of Wanting’ is an open-hearted offering. Building on the ambitions of her debut EP ‘Young and Naive’ Ella continues her knack for pairing knock-out choruses with potent elements of her broader indie-pop palette. Produced by Iain Berryman (Beabadoobee, Young Fathers, Wolf Alice), ‘Lifetime Of Wanting’, weaves a course through the relatable trials and tribulations of young love, while coined by Ella herself as her “love song era!”.

“My first ep was based on my life 2 years ago – a period where I felt unwanted and unsure of myself. A lot has changed since then, and with this new project I went in with a whole new mindset. The person I am today had to find a way to write about being in-love.” explains Ella of her new EP.

Ella introduces her new EP with explosive lead single ‘Car Park’. Frothy crash cymbals and dazed guitars lay the architecture for Ella’s distinctive raspy vocal, as she sings of acknowledging that relationships aren’t always perfect.

Describing her new single, Ella comments, “Car Park is the acknowledgement that relationships aren’t always perfect and they take hard work from both ends. But, having that constant in your life, that person being there for you and loving you despite your flaws, makes it all worthwhile. I would do anything to make it work despite my doubts and insecurities, and this song captures that feeling for me.”

Healing broken hearts through hooks and harmonies, 20-year-old Ella has gained the attention of BBC Radio 1’s Introducing, Greg James’ ‘Tune Of The Week’ and Jack Saunders, whilst racking up over 3.5 million streams as well as stellar praise from media including NME, Rolling Stone UK, The Independent, DORK, Clash, The Line of Best Fit, The Forty-Five, Gigwise, Wonderland, Hunger and more. It’s a testament to Nieve’s raw talent for authentic and vulnerable songwriting at such a young age. There is no grandstanding, no attempt at hiding how truly confusing it is to be young. It’s why Ella and her songs continue to connect and her fanbase grow exponentially, earmarking her as one of 2024’s most exciting new artists.

Alongside supporting Dylan and more recently Irish foursome Inhaler, on their European and UK tour, Ella also embarked on an impressive run of festivals this summer. Including, a debut performance at this year’s Glastonbury Festival and graced the stages of The Great Escape, Barn On The Farm, Boardmasters, Reading & Leeds, All Points East and more.
