Wingstop UKI, the fast-growing restaurant specialising in chicken and flavour, is coming to Manchester Arndale after agreeing a five-year lease to occupy the 5,928 sq ft former Yo Sushi unit.

Established in Texas in 1994, Wingstop rose rapidly to become one of the fastest-growing restaurant chains in the US. The brand launched in the UK market in 2018, and into Ireland last year, and now operates over 85 locations.

Manchester Arndale shoppers will be able to enjoy Wingstop UKI’s signature wings, tenders and burgers, all cooked to order and hand-sauced-and-tossed in a choice of ten bold flavours. Shoppers will also be able to try Wingstop UKI’s recently launched side option of corn, as well as its range of milkshakes, dips and churros for dessert.

Wingstop UKI’s arrival follows a trio of lease renewals from major UK retailers. Argos and Lush have signed for a further five-year lease at Manchester Arndale, Argos for a 13,321 sq ft unit and Lush for 2,972 sq ft, while Lovisa has committed to a further 10 years at the retail destination, continuing to occupy a 631 sq ft unit.

The addition of Wingstop UKI comes hot on the heels of Manchester Arndale’s bumper 2025 as it continued to grow its retail, leisure and F&B line-up. The centre recorded over 100,000 sq ft of new lettings from January to December cementing its place as the North West’s leading retail and leisure destination.

Scott Linard, Portfolio Manager for M&G Real Estate, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Wingstop to our vibrant F&B offer; an addition we’re sure will resonate with our younger visitors. With the additions of popular restaurant chains like Wingstop, coupled with the arrival of new retailers such as Arc’teryx, Alo Yoga, Pro:Direct and Sephora, we are strategically creating a destination where people across the North West and beyond want to spend their time.”

Steve Gray, Head of European Retail Asset Management at Global Mutual, said: “Wingstop will join Manchester Arndale’s varied F&B mix, including Popeyes UK®, Sides, Hotel Chocolat, Joe & The Juice and Café Nero. In-demand operators like this help create energy and momentum that allows the brands across the scheme to thrive, driving increased footfall, longer dwell times and a more compelling offer for visitors.”
