Police have arrested a man who had been evading police for more than two years, yesterday
Twenty one year old Aaron Travers who had been actively avoiding capture for two years and two months before he was found at a block of flats in Trafford
Travers had been wanted since October 2023 after failing to appear at Bolton Crown Court in relation to drug supply offences on 24 October 2023.
He was also wanted for breaching a court order on 13 October 2023 by failing to comply with its conditions.
He has appeared at Bolton Crown Court today and has been remanded to His Majesties Prison Altcourse and will be spending his Christmas behind bars.
Detective Sergeant Gareth Bannister said “This arrest demonstrates our continued commitment to pursuing individuals who believe they can evade justice.
“Our officers have worked with determination and persistence over an extended period to ensure this individual was located and brought into custody.
“We will continue to use all available resources and intelligence to track down those who attempt to avoid the courts, and we remain steadfast in our dedication to protecting the public.
“Our teams will continue to work tirelessly to locate wanted offenders, disrupt criminal activity, and keep our communities safe.”
