A 38-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after two men (41 and 37)sustained stab wounds on Moston Lane in the early hours of this morning.
Both men were taken to hospital for treatment, although thankfully their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life changing.
Detective Inspector Mike Russell of GMP Manchester North District said: “This was a vicious attack, but I would like to reassure the community that our investigation is progressing at pace and we are working hard to piece together the full circumstances.
“It is being treated as a targeted attack and we are not currently looking for anyone else involved.
“I understand the concerns an incident of this nature will cause however we are treating it as an isolated incident. There will nevertheless be extra patrol plans in place to provide a visible and reassuring policing presence in the community. If you do have any concerns, I urge you to speak to the officers who will be on hand to assist.
