A man has been arrested after a 120mph chase on the M60
The 37 year old was wanted on recall to prison and police spotted his BMW on the motorway near Oldham and followed it for around five minutes.
As the car looked to come off the motorway, it suddenly veered back into the main carriageway, initiating a pursuit which saw speeds hitting in excess of 120mph.
Following a two-minute pursuit – which saw the car dangerously weaving in and out of other vehicles, and driving into oncoming traffic – the suspect de-camped and was subsequently arrested.
A man, aged 37, was arrested on suspicion of driving while disqualified, dangerous driving, possession of indecent images of children, and being wanted on recall to prison.
He remains in custody as officers continue their enquiries.
