Leading manufacturer of performance luxury apparel, Canada Goose, celebrates the opening of a permanent store in Manchester this week. The newly refurbished location enables north west fans of the brand to explore its collection while highlighting its purpose of keeping the planet cold and the people on it warm. (In 2020, Canada Goose announced HUMANATURE, its purpose platform that unites its sustainability and values-based initiatives.)

“We are proud to officially call Manchester home, following the success of our recent pop-up which was well received by local shoppers and international visitors alike,” said Carrie Baker, President, Canada Goose. “This permanent store gives guests the opportunity to learn what our promise to inspire and enable all people to thrive in the world outside truly means. We look forward to telling our brand story directly and providing an unfiltered and elevated experience to our loyal community in Manchester.”

Located at the heart of the city’s thriving central retail district, the space is designed to combine the essence of Canada Goose with the cultural and creative prowess of modern Manchester. It draws upon high-quality materials inspired by nature and showcases artwork from the Canada Goose Northern Art Collection, including four pencil and ink works by Meelia Kelly and a stone sculpture by Kellipllik Ashoona.

With over 400 artworks on display in over 45 stores, the brand’s Northern Art Program is the largest retail collection of Inuit art in the world. The program is focused on elevating Canadian and Arctic narratives, prioritising Inuit art that expresses the kinship between person and land, and is directly connected to the brand’s purpose platform, HUMANATURE, which brings to life Canada Goose’s purpose to keep the planet cold and the people on it warm.

The New Cathedral Street store will also offer a wide assortment of the brand’s latest performance luxury outerwear, apparel, footwear and accessory collections for men, women and children in a variety of colors, sizes and styles.

It will also feature collaborations and new product launches in the seasons to come. One of the latest launches available is a selection of new women’s outerwear, designed with style and performance in mind. Crafted in Ventera, a luxurious fabric with a smooth, soft-to-the-touch finish, the products feature clean lines and tonal branding for effortless sophistication with flattering silhouettes and customizable elements that allow consumers to express their personal style.

Their latest collection was unveiled as part of Canada Goose’s seasonal brand campaign, Live in the Open, which stars an all-female cast of Jodie Turner-Smith, Soo Joo Park and Khadijha Red Thunder, and was photographed by Annie Leibovitz. Set in the highlands of Northern Scotland, the campaign tells the stories of bold and brave women who embody the brand’s ethos.

The brand was originally founded in 1957 in a small warehouse in Toronto, Canada and now has stores around the globe.Their latest Canada Goose store in Manchester is open Monday to Wednesday 10am to 7pm, Thursday to Saturday 10am to 8pm and Sundays 11.30am to 5.30pm and the full range of product is also available on www.canadagoose.com.
