Four boys aged between 13 and 16 have been detained by police overnight in Bolton after a suspected stolen car they were driving was failed to stop for officers on Loxham Street, Moses Gate just after midnight.
The VW Golf collided with wooden fencing and become partially submerged in water after sliding down an embankment.
Emergency services attended and, following a search of the area, four boys aged between 13 and 16 were detained and taken to hospital for assessment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage of the investigation say police.
