In response to popular demand, the acclaimed Knutsford restaurant, Linden Stores, has announced exciting plans to expand its offering. From March, guests can now enjoy its celebrated seasonal Chef’s Menu at lunchtime, available Wednesday to Saturday.
Since opening its doors in November 2023, Linden Stores has fast become a local favourite, known for its warm, intimate atmosphere and its commitment to seasonal British cooking.
Now, diners can savour Head Chef and Co-owner Chris Boustead’s signature dishes during the day. Comprising of a selection of shared plates, equivalent to a generous three courses, the Chef’s Menu is priced at £45.00 per person. Also welcoming younger diners, the Chef’s Menu is offered to children under 12 at a special price of £22.50 per person, perfect for relaxed family lunches.
Showcasing the finest regional and foraged produce, the Chef’s Menu is a celebration of modern British dining. Served as seasonal sharing plates, each dish brings together elevated flavours with a relaxed, informal style. Highlights of the current menu include cauliflower cheese croquettes with roasted garlic aioli, hogget breast and crispy lamb sweetbreads with wild garlic salsa and burnt shallot. A staple on the menu and a firm favourite with guests, the layered potatoes offer the ultimate indulgent bite, comprising of delicately sliced golden fried potatoes.
Championing low-intervention, small-scale producers, Linden Stores presents a carefully curated collection of distinctive wines and is proudly featured on the prestigious Star Wine List. To elevate the dining experience, guests can opt for an expertly paired wine flight alongside the Chef’s Menu, available at £42.50 per person.
Co-owners and partners Laura Christie and Chris Boustead have been championing British ingredients since founding the original Linden Stores in Islington. Since relocating to Knutsford, the pair has firmly embedded themselves in the town’s thriving dining scene and the new daytime Chef’s Menu promises to build on that momentum.

The Chef’s Menu is now available at Linden Stores Wednesday – Saturday 12 noon – 2pm for £47.50 per person (under 12’s £22.50 per person).
