As the FA Cup enters its final stage this weekend, one of English football’s fiercest rivalries is set to reignite, with old foes Manchester United and Manchester City going head-to-head to claim top honours.
To celebrate the derby match, Manchester based attraction LEGOLAND Discovery Centre has recreated the cup final scene filled with Minifigure football fans, featuring actual players from both sides facing off against each other, including City record-breaker Erling Haaland and United fan favourite Marcus Rashford.
As well as the pitch scene, the attraction has created the famed FA Cup trophy out of LEGO, yet it will be remaining neutral until the final whistle on Saturday, with both red and blue ribbons adorning the creation.
Jenn McDonough, General Manager at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Manchester, said: “We cannot wait for the FA Cup final here at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Manchester. It’s fantastic for the city to have two sides represented on English football’s biggest stage and we’re proud of the clubs regardless of the outcome.”
