Le Social reveals part one of LE SOCIAL & FRIENDS spring and summer programme – a series of events celebrating Manchester and its thriving community, teaming up with local artists to present the finest art, sounds, food and wine.

More than a wine bar and shop, Le Social is a community. One that champions Manchester’s rich independent scene of creatives and food and drink specialists.

LE SOCIAL & FRIENDS will present everything from exhibitions to workshops, parties to
wine tastings, plus pop-ups and supper clubs. Running across April – August, the events will predominantly take place from their Pollard Yard home, with a few takeovers and pop-ups around Greater Manchester thrown in the mix too.

LE SOCIAL & FRIENDS will kick off on April 21 st when Le Social’s cosy shipping container will become home to Caroline Dowsett and Ben Vulliamy’s debut collaborative exhibition MOTHER. An ode to Mother Earth through a curated a series of original pieces and limited edition prints in the form of risographs, print and textiles.

The launch coincides with international Earth Day, and to celebrate, everyone is invited to the opening party which commences at 6pm on Friday 22nd April. Entry is £5 inclusive of an arrival drink from Le Social’s impeccable wine selection. The exhibition will be open until May 1st, entry is free but bookings are mandatory – you can book here now. There will also be an opportunity to purchase the artwork, with 20% of all profits going to World Wildlife Fund.

Part two of LE SOCIAL & FRIENDS will see even more collaborations, parties and events, culminating with Le Social’s second birthday in August.

On LE SOCIAL & FRIENDS, Founder Jérôme Boullier said, “At its core Le Social is a community, we are as much a lifestyle brand as wine experts. From the beginning, social consciousness has dictated which wine producers we work with, and now we want to champion the same ethos through collaborations and in-person experiences to continue to expand our community through our love for art, music and culture.

We’re blessed with a thriving creative scene here in Manchester, and so LE SOCIAL & FRIENDS is an opportunity for us to create something really special with all the incredibly talented people we are surrounded by.”

Manchester’s most intimate wine bar will continue to serve their menu of rotating natural and premium wines by the glass and Mediterranean plates every Saturday. Sunny days will see the bar expanding outside onto Pollard Yard’s sun-kissed terrace.

Bookings are mandatory as space is limited. A chance to try some of the new seasonal bottles that are constantly filling the shelves, all available to take home at retail price or from the online webshop.
