The Labour peer Waheed Alli is under investigation by the Lords’ standards watchdog, over “alleged non-registration of interests.”

The complaint was made during the last week about the Labour donor who has been at the centre of allegations over funding if gifts to senior figures in the party

As a peer in the House of Lords, Alli is required to register his interests in line with the parliamentary code of conduct.

Meanwhile Kier Starmer has paid back more than £6,000 worth of gifts received since becoming prime minister, including tickets for the Taylor Swift concert in London and a clothing rental agreement with a high-end designer for his wife Lady Victoria Starmer.
