Stockport is set to become a key destination for the UK’s growing digital and technology sectors as Kao Data, a leading developer and operator of advanced data centres, has commenced construction of its new £350 million facility in Reddish.
This marks a significant milestone, as it will be Kao Data’s first data centre outside of the south of England, further establishing Stockport as a prime location for businesses seeking to expand or relocate.
The new state-of-the-art facility will not only provide cutting-edge computing capabilities but will also create employment opportunities for Stockport residents. With a highly skilled workforce already in place and excellent transport links, Stockport offers businesses like Kao Data access to talent and infrastructure to support their expansion and success.
Kao Data has already shown a strong commitment to becoming an integral part of the Stockport community. They are working closely with Stockport College to help shape courses that will equip local young people with the skills needed for careers in the growing digital and technology sectors.
Additionally, Kao Data is launching a community fund to support local voluntary and community organisations, ensuring their investment benefits not only businesses but also the wider community.
