Lyceum Theatre Oldham, is back to capacity this September with its first full season of plays since the COVID pandemic struck.

The season opens with a play to make you smile, reflect and enjoy with Bernard Slade’s American comedy drama SAME TIME NEXT YEAR, which runs from Friday 23 September to Saturday 1 October at 7.30pm.

George and Doris meet in California in 1951. They are both married to other people but their brief affair blossoms into an unexpected relationship that goes beyond passion and excitement.

They are still meeting in secret 24 years later, sharing the joys and woes from their ‘real’ lives as well as their worries and interest in world affairs, as much as their own.

This is an intimate look at what love means, how it can be fulfilling in different ways and how we all need some kind of outlet from our ordinary lives.

Tickets are £12 each – this is the same price as last year – and are on sale now online at lyceumtheatre.org.uk

You can also buy tickets for this production as part of the theatre’s Season Ticket scheme. Pay only £11 for each of five plays from September 2022 – June 2023. More information on the website
