Lowry Outlet, MediaCityUK continues the festive celebrations this weekend with a host of enchanting entertainment and its Magical Makers Market, running from Friday 16 – Sunday 18th December.
In partnership with The Makers Market, the Magical Makers Market will take place along the waterfront and within the centre. FREE to enter, the market brings festive cheer for all the family, with its wonderful Christmas finds, magical characters and twinkling lights.
The perfect place to pick-up last-minute gifts; with more than 70 fabulous festive stalls selling seasonal food and drink and unique gifts and crafts. Lowry Outlet is also launching its Winter Clearance sale on Thursday 15th December, making this the perfect opportunity to stock up last minute presents and those essential stocking fillers.
There will also be a host of magical entertainment for the whole family to enjoy everyday, including the Snow Globe. Shoppers will be wowed by the spellbinding and beautifully illuminated real-life Snow Queen, as she sits encased inside her snow blizzard, smiling and greeting passers by. Press the big red button to trigger the snowfall and a host of fun and festive sound effects.
Daily activities also include a Story & Song Corner (12.30pm/1.30pm/2.30pm/3.30pm); a cosy corner surrounded by twinkling lights and baubles.
Children can enjoy Christmas stories and popular songs from a well-loved children’s character. Arts & Crafts (12pm-4pm); children can enjoy getting crafty, learning to make their own Christmas tree decorations – rolling, cutting and personalising a star for their tree at home. There will also be Face Painting and Glitter Tattoos (12pm-4pm).
Friday shoppers can also watch the ethereal Winter Fairy grace the aisle of Lowry Outlet in her illuminated costume; bringing a touch of magic as she performs with her magical crystal balls.
Also on Friday, and Sunday, guests can see the Winter Wonderland Birds fan their dazzling illuminated tails. These giant birds – 3m high and 3.2m wide – represent the ‘Two Calling Birds’ from the iconic Twelve Days of Christmas carol. A treat for all, the birds are animated with sound effects too.
On Saturday there will be a flashmob of Ballerinas for all to enjoy. Six, skilled dancers will perform to music, including The Nutcracker. There will also be performances from Hemi-demisemiquaver Choir, to get everyone in the Christmas Sprit.
Throughout the weekend there will be a festive fancy dress competition too, where the best fancy dress can win a £10 Lowry Outlet Gift Card.

“The amazing free Lightwaves attraction is also running at The Quays and MediaCityUK daily until Sunday, making the whole plaza area feel even more magical.
